Dairy checkoff supports All-American Dairy Show
Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program are proud to support the All-American Dairy Show, which will be held Sept. 18 to 23 at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa. Dairy farmers are invited to attend the “got milk?®” buffet on Tuesday, Sept. 21, to learn how their dairy promotion investment is building demand for and sales of milk and dairy products. The buffet starts at 7 p.m. and will include the following presentations: Pioneer Award, Image Award and Obie Snider Award.
New Lesson Series Teaches Middle School Students About Dairy Farms
Four new comprehensive lessons, complete with video, reading guides and lab-based instruction, are now available to teach middle school students about dairy farming while applying science concepts to real-life situations. The lesson series is part of the Discover Dairy educational program funded by Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program, Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and the Center for Dairy Excellence.
Fuel Up To Play 60 – Active Kids and Healthy Eating
Dairy farmers, through their checkoff investment, have partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the National Football League in an unprecedented campaign called Fuel Up to Play 60 that encourages students to get 60 minutes of physical activity every day and to eat nutrient-rich foods, including low-fat and fat-free milk and milk products.
