Dairy Promotion Groups Promote Flavored Milk at 2007 Ag Progress Days

PHILADELPHIA (August 3, 2007) – Dairy farmers are invited to the 2007 Ag Progress Days to learn more about how dairy checkoff programs help increase demand for milk and dairy products. The Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program (PDPP) will host a joint exhibit at the annual event, Aug. 14–16, at the Ag Progress Days grounds in Rock Springs.

All dairy farmers and those affiliated with the dairy industry are invited to visit the joint exhibit in Dairy & Livestock Tent #1 to learn about local and national dairy promotion efforts. This year’s exhibit features the promotion of flavored milk in schools, vending and quick-serve restaurants. Look for the giant inflatable milk bottles and find out more about dairy checkoff. Dairy farmers in the Mid-Atlantic region are also reminded to bring their postcards to the dairy checkoff booth at Ag Progress Days to receive a Dairy Checkoff Works! tape measure.

Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program are the local planning and management organizations funded by dairy farmer checkoff dollars. They work closely with Dairy Management Inc.™ and are responsible for increasing demand for U.S. produced dairy products on behalf of dairy farmers. For more information, visit www.dairyspot.com.
