Deanna Segrave-Daly
Deanna Segrave-Daly, RD, LDN, is the director of nutrition communications and a media spokesperson for Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association, where she oversees dairy-related health campaigns and conducts media interviews in the Harrisburg/Lancaster/Lebanon/York and Philadelphia media markets. She appears monthly on WHTM-TV's Noon News (ABC-Harrisburg, Pa.) as the "Mid-Day Gourmet."
With more than eight years of experience in front of the camera and reporters, Deanna has completed numerous print, TV and radio interviews on topics such as healthy recipes, child and adolescent nutrition, culinary tips, weight management, food safety, sports nutrition and school nutrition.
A registered dietitian, Deanna is also a spokesperson for the National Dairy Council. She believes strongly in communicating nutrition and health messages to the public through the enjoyment of food. Throughout her career, she has been on the boards of various state and regional dietetic associations, a member of local public relations groups and a volunteer for mentoring programs and hunger organizations.
Deanna is the incoming Chair-Elect of the Food & Culinary Professionals, a practice group of the American Dietetic Association that educates their peers and the public on culinary skills and food appreciation. She is on the board of the Nutrition & Dietetic Alumni Society at The Pennsylvania State University and is an active mentor through the university’s College of Health & Human Development Mentoring program. In January 2001, she was named "Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year" for the state of Pennsylvania.
